1. Sidda Gufa Cave
Sidda Guffa is reviewed to be the biggest cave in Nepal, with its cathedral-like chasm filled with stalagmites and stalactites. This is one of the best places to visit in Bandipur. The cave houses more than hundreds of bats, too, so keep your noise down. It takes at least 1.5 hours to walk to Sidda Guffa cave, and the path gets slippery. It is mandatory to have a tour guide when entering the cave.
2. Khadga Devi Temple
Walk up the broad flight of stone steps, and you will see the barnlike Khadga Devi Temple, an important place that preserves the sword of the 16th-century king of Palpa, Mukunda Sen; evidently, the sword was a gift from Shiva. Every year, they appease the gods by bringing out the blade to make a sacrifice with it.
3. Bandipur Chhen

4. Padma Library
The Padma library was built in the middle of the Bandipur Bazaar with special permission from the Ranas. It reflects the power of Bandipur during that era of Nepal. The library is famous for its unique architecture and design. The books from the time of the Rana administration are kept in the village, thus preserving the town’s historical sources.
5. Mahalaxmi Temple
It is situated in the southeast of the Bandipur Bazaar. The temple, constructed in pagoda style, dates back to the medieval period and displays the fantastic artworks of Bhimsen and diverse animals.
6. Bindabasini Temple
Situated on the north part of the Bandipur Bazaar, this pagoda-temple design has a picture of the Bindabasini goddess. There are also the idols of the other goddess and a gorgeously carved temple. During the new year, the image of the goddess Bindabasini is kept in a chariot.
7. Thani Mai Temple
This temple, situated on the hilltop, provides tourists with beautiful mountains sight and the village downhill. Despite being a sacred spot, this temple is famous as a site for the astonishing sunrise.
8. Silkworm Farm
Many visitors prefer a visit around the Silkworm farm. It’s a silk production factory that displays a detailed process of manufacturing silk from the silkworm. In addition, there is a big mulberry plant farm. Typically, from August to December and March to May the worm is grown indoors.
9. Tundikhel
Tundikhel is a large ground in north of Bandipur. Formerly, it was a place for traders to assemble and sell products from Tibet and India. The Gurkha soldiers also used it as a parade ground. Currently, this ground is a standpoint for beautiful mountain peaks like Langtang (7,264 m), Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Ganesh Himal (7,406 m), and Machhapuchhare (6,997 m).
10. Trekking in Bandipur
Nepal is such a wonderful place to trek! You will pass through many mustard fields, rice terraces, and small orchards with breathtaking sights. One of the most famous treks is to explore the small Magar village of Ramkot with its local round buildings. Usually, it takes about four hours.
